COVID-19: Salon Guidelines & Safety Measures
Please read in advance of your appointment.
We're pleased to announce that Lounge Nine will be reopening on Monday 6th July, following the government's announcement that hairdressers can return back to work from the 4th July. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer beauty treatments until further notice, but will keep you informed of any updates and book appointments accordingly.
In order to make sure all hair appointments are safe for both staff and clients, we have a produced a set of guidelines that must be strictly followed while in the salon:
PPE & Hand Sanitising
✓ Please bring your own mask to your appointment if you feel like you like to wear one. Disposable ones will be provided at a small cost.
✓ All staff in the salon will be equipped with full PPE including visors, gloves and aprons.
✓ There will be hand sanitising stations for everyone to use throughout the salon.
✓ Please wash your hands when entering.
Attending your Appointment
✓ If you have any kind of COVID-19 symptoms, please do not come to your appointment, reschedule for a later date.
✓ Please arrive to your appointment on time.
✓ Please only bring your required belongings.
✓ Please avoid bringing anyone else with you to your appointment to reduce the amount of people in the salon at one time.
✓ Everybody will enter through the front door and leave the premises via the back door.
✓ All appointments will be at least an hour long to stop with overlapping of clients. This will also enable us to clean stations, tools etc after every client.
✓ No magazines will be available.
✓ There will be NO WAITNG area provided, therefore clients will have to wait outside until stylist/beautician is ready. We can call or text them to let them know when we are ready if they choose to wait in cars or outside.
✓ We will not be able to offer any kind of refreshments however we encourage clients to bring their own.
✓ Every time anyone uses the toilet it will have to be cleaned thoroughly.
✓ We will have a cleaning rota to show evidence that the salon is being cleaned often.
✓ No dry cuts allowed, every client must be shampooed within the salon.
✓ Stylists will avoid touching the client’s hair before it has been washed.
All of the above safety measures will be available for all clients to read before entering the salon.
We will also be carrying out a full risk assessment which will also be available for clients to read on the website as well as in salon.
Thank you for helping us to ensure our salon is as safe as possible.
